Our Vision

The vision of Legacy Church is to really to help people become better worshippers of God through a relationship with Jesus.  That one day we can Leave a Legacy of worship to those that come after us.

We believe this life of worship can best be detailed by maintaining a connection to Jesus the author and perfector of our faith.  He said in John 15 that He is the vine and we are the branches and we can do nothing without Him.  So we need to remain connected to Him.  We think this connection best happens with the 5 G's

Gather - One of the significant ways that we remain connected to Jesus is through regularly gathering with other followers of Jesus.  This happens for us on Sunday Mornings, in one-one meetings, and social events throughout the week.

Grow - As Jesus talks about remaining connected to the vine, He is mainly talking about growing in our relationship with Him.  At Legacy, we believe this best happens in the context of a Life Group.  These are groups of 8-12 people who meet in people's homes throughout the week for community, learning and prayer.  We believe that the best growth does not happen in rows but in circles.

Give - For us, leading a life of worship is remembering that life is best when it is not about us.  But about serving God, His kingdom, and others.  So for us one of the ways we worship is about learning to give our lives away.  We do this through giving of out time, talent, and treasure to things that further God's mission in the world.

Go - One of the things about what is means to be a follower of Jesus is to not just gather in a "holy huddle" but to be sent ones into the world to tell others about the love of Jesus.  One of the most significant ways that we can worship God, is by telling others about Him.

Gone - This word summarizes the idea of Leaving a Legacy.  Some day each of us will stand before our creator and the longing of each of our hearts should be that He would say to us "Well done good and faithful servant."  For us, out of a relationship with Jesus, and a longing to please Him, we crave for this sweet words to come from Jesus as we leave this world.
